CEPHALIC CARNAGE To Headline WKDU SPRING BAND BASH

May 5, 2005

CEPHALIC CARNAGE are set to headline this year's WKDU Spring Band Bash on Tuesday, May 10 at The First Unitarian Church in Philadelphia, PA. CEPHALIC CARNAGE will be joined by labelmates DYSRHYTHMIA and Philadelphia natives TOTAL FUCKING DESTRUCTION (ex-BRUTAL TRUTH) and TOWERS for this showcase brought to you by the Philadelphia independent music coalition made up of Relapse Records, R5 Productions and WKDU.

WKDU (91.7 FM) is Drexel University's student sponsored radio station, run entirely by students. Music Director Adam Hendricks comments about the 2005 edition of the Band Bash: "I am excited to bring together an eclectic mix of non-commercial artists. We didn't want to simply do a 'metal' show or 'indie' show but strived for various styles in the underground scene. It is great to be able to work with Relapse and R5 to make this happen and we are psyched to get Philly locals such as TOWERS on the same bill as CEPHALIC. As any listener knows 'KDU crosses genres throughout each day but CEPHALIC does the same all within one song. DYSRHYTHMIA floored us with their performance at the Bash in 2003 and did a killer on-air. It is great to have them back. (We are also huge fans of Colin's other band INFIDEL?/CASTRO!) TFD have played live on the air so many times we can't remember and I'm not sure they can either. They were a natural choice for us. TOWERS are pretty new but I see them every time I can and think their powerful performance will add another dimension to the show. It is always a lot of work to get a show like this together, but as it gets closer I know it will be one of the best bashes we have done and is well worth the effort."

CEPHALIC CARNAGE are currently on the road alongside SHADOWS FALL, TERROR and ZAO in support of their current release, "Anomalies". DYSRHYTHMIA have just completed a North American tour with JUCIFER and are preparing to record their next full-length album this fall.
